I now present to you, in list form, things I’m currently into. Enjoy!
1: My youngest sister came to visit! Utah has two basic attractions, pioneers and nature, and that’s what she wanted to see. We fed ducks, climbed a waterfall, walked through pioneer homes, and went to the Natural History Museum. I was delighted to find that this summer’s special exhibit, Nature’s Ultimate Machines, featured animal skulls. Sadly, their Ganges river dolphin skull was just a reproduction, but most of the rest were real. Now I want a wunderkammer of skulls even more.
2: Right this second, my kids are watching The Sacred Riana on YouTube. It’s a playlist of her performances on Asia’s Got Talent and it’s awesome. I love her creepy ghost persona. The magic itself isn’t too difficult but the storytelling of it is amazing. As of about 5 minutes ago she’s my favorite illusionist ever.
3: I’ve been playing Friday the 13th: Killer Puzzle on my phone. It’s very spooky cute. For me, it’s right up there with Zombie Road Trip and Organ Trail for semi-mindless fun. All of which just reminded me of Infectonator World Dominator, and now I want to fill the world with zombies once again.
4. If you haven’t already, you should rush out and watch A Quiet Place. My son and I did this a couple weeks ago and I forgot to mention it. We loved it–not much gore but great suspense and characters. Very cleverly done. And major bonus points for getting my son to read subtitles without whining.
And now I have to rush off. I hope everyone’s having a dark and mysterious week.
